A failed network connection or audio issues on your Windows-based PC may be caused by a conflict in your computer’s configuration settings. The Windows Diagnostics utility is available on Windows Vista and newer, and runs a series of tests to determine the cause of the issue. If the root problem is discovered the utility program offers a number of possible solutions to correct the problem.


1st Click “Start” and then “Control Panel.”

2nd Click “Troubleshooting” in the Control Panel window, and click the type of computer problem you’re experiencing. The troubleshooting sections include Programs, Hardware and Sound, Network and Internet, Appearance and Personalizaton, and System and Security.

3rd Click “Next” in the troubleshooting wizard to begin the diagnostics test.

4th Follow the wizard’s on-screen instructions to determine the cause of the problem.
